The entertainment is the value in this. Just like in "<whatever country>'s got talent", it's the weird things that are interesting. I understand that a guy playing instruments made from various fruits and vegetables or a woman playing puppet theater with her feet isn't going to win, but as soon as there is only the singers and dancers left I stop watching, cause that's just boring.
