Katelyn, yeah good luck with that. First, you're teaching your body to be even lazier and weaker than it already is. Second, the side effects are not worth it. Here's an idea: how about maybe getting up and getting active? Amazing, I know. Exercise, clean diet, clean living: a recipe for success.

Nibby, As an older man, I can tell you that if you're having that much trouble, without a specific medical problem to point to, you have either neglected or abused your body. If you're not cooking your own food from scratch, you're eating chemicals(ie flavoring, whether natural or artificial; broths; salt solutions; and of course msg in all its many different forms) designed to make you eat more than you possibly could without the chemicals. Overeating then causes your body to be lazy and weak. If you've drunk energy drinks, including all the caffeinated beverages there are, then you have burned your body to a crisp and no wonder you can't get it up. Also, people don't know how to come back from long periods of inactivity and/or illness. At 50, I tried to do a ride(bicycle) which almost blew my heart up. At 60, I did that ride, and kept going until I just about doubled it.

I needed the little blue pill in my 40s. At 65, I laugh at the thought of it. I'm better and more dependable that way than when I was in my 20s and 30s.

Thomasa, Only if you've spent your entire life ignoring or beating up on your body. I've fought crippling disabilities all my life - unemployable, homeless, open-ended hospital stays, two spine injuries, etc etc. I was so sickly as a child, I had delayed onset puberty. ...Exercise, no matter how light, has always been my only source of help. So after a lifetime of walking, stretching, lifting 5-lb bottles of water because I couldn't do anything heavier, I solved some of my most disabling health conditions. Now at 65, I'm doing things I couldn't do in my twenties. In fact, I'm doing things most guys will never even dream of doing. My most recent hike was 33 miles(54km) with almost 6,000ft(1,820m) of elevation in 12:45. Many, maybe most, of the problems associated with aging are not from aging, they're from the belief that 'I can't do this at my age'. The next biggest reason may be that most people have it so easy earlier in life, that they can't or won't do what it takes, whether it's the discipline, or more likely, the patience needed to start from absolute zero and proceed in sometimes microscopic gains.
