Honestly with the poor resolution of the video, I cannot tell if she has the blade backwards or that the blade itself is just worn out. Yeah i see the vice isn't secured but even a metal saw should be able to cut some wood, even if not great.

Thaddeus, it's because the board is too wide for the saw to go all the way through...the back of the saw is stopped by the wood. She needs to tilt the saw to finish the cut.
