If the bears delayed when the piglet was going to be eaten by the humans, so being a little hungry all of the time was a good trade off.

Kenneth,
Starving a pig is what a "micro" pig is. Stunting growth doesn't mean not gonna be slaughtered. That is usually an age thing not a weight thing.
