#8 Of the hundreds of bald eagles I have seen in my life in Alaska, I can say this is NOT TRUE. They loose a wing feather and they adjust their flight patterns untll new one grows in. Tail feather same deal. They often pull out feathers just for being hard to clean because of damage.
