On March 30, 2025, a devastating single-vehicle accident occurred in Lake County. According to FOX 35 Orlando, the crash resulted in the deaths of three women and left another critically injured.
The collision happened on State Road 19, south of Saint Florian Lane, shortly after three in the morning. The 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee was heading north when it lost control of a bend and went off the road. The car repeatedly overturned after colliding with a pole, ejecting all four people.
Three passengers from Eustis, ages 26, 28, and 32, were in the car with the 30-year-old female driver from Mount Dora. Sadly, one passenger and the driver were both declared deceased at the spot. The two remaining passengers were taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where one later succumbed to injuries.
4. Deadly 17-Vehicle Crash in Texas
Recently, a tragic multi-vehicle accident in Austin, Texas, resulted in the deaths of five individuals. As per The New York Post, this included a child and an infant.
A late-night 17-vehicle crash led to the arrest of Solomun Araya, facing five intoxication manslaughter and two intoxication assault charges.
According to police reports, Araya was driving a semi-truck when the pileup occurred in the North Austin area. Austin-Travis County EMS reported that multiple victims were trapped in their vehicles after the collision. This left 12 others injured, including three children. Five persons (three adults, one child, and one infant) were pronounced deceased at the scene.
