Faster Than An F1? (VIDEO)

This sport is called Tether Racing. It involves small, high-speed model cars that are powered by internal combustion engines. These cars are attached to a central pole with a strong wire or tether, and they race in circles at incredibly high speeds. The cars don’t have remote controls. The goal is to measure how fast the car can go around the track. It’s a niche but thrilling hobby that combines engineering, precision, and speed. The footage in the video was taken at Whittier Narrows Park.

Man! If I was the guy manning the center pole, I'd want to wear leg armor, at least.
