#11 either this picture is really old, or you bought an an old used bike. They don't make road bikes with 27" steel wheels as in that picture anymore. The oxidation on the hub would not be present on a new bike either, it would be shiny like new. Looks like something from the 70's.

#6 At least it was outside. My friend's mom had a similar litter box and this happened while she was carrying it up the basement stairs of their house, and all their junk stored under them got covered in it. They weren't exactly good about keeping up on the scooping, either, so it was pretty gross. They were pretty devout Catholics and that's the only time I ever heard her swear.
