I'm puzzled how effective this demo was at revealing emotions or lack thereof. I mean that humanoid looking machine is programmed to keep balance - that's it. No resemblance of intelligence or feelings. And yet with some, the way it was treated, evoked empathy and compassion. With others, not. Fascinating really. We can't even agree on how treat humanoid shaped Segways - how on earth could we find a common way to treat each other?
