Flory, a pygmy hippo was born in September at the Diergaarde in Blijdorp, Netherlands.
On the pictures, he is only 10 days old. He is too cute. Look at this little thing ;)
A real positive emotion of the day.
Romanian Lucian Craita had a small lion cub called Richie that lived in his courtyard. The cub spent there eighteen months and was very attached to his owner, they were inseparable. So, to give his best friend a better life in a big cat sanctuary in South Africa, Lucian decided to pass the lion to Vier Pfoten, an international animal rights foundation which relocated Richie there.
Yes, it is hard to say good bye…
And if you missed the incredible story about another lion cub, you can check out this post. I bet you’ll like it!
A certain James Gurney has made portraits of a gorilla and a chimpanzee in the North Carolina Zoo.
He approached the glass with a submissive posture, then, when a gorilla came right up to the glass and posed for him, he started to make a portrait.
He did the same with a chimpanzee that apparently wanted James Gurney to show him every ten minutes or so how he was coming along on the sketch…
It seems that they like to pose and are curious to see the result!

Faith is an incredible and unique dog. Born with only two hind legs, she learned to walk well just like people.
Despite this serious flaw, Faith is very cheerful, playful and doesn’t really mind that she has only 2 legs ))

Awww…
A big selection of cute kittens for all the animal lovers.
Be careful, loads of cuteness inside!
Poor cat, its owners hang a tasty chicken so high.
But the cat did not give up and would fight for its prey ‘til the end
P.S. It is unknown whether the cat got the desired result, but it did lots of efforts.

Phenix, Alabama.
The story tells that these two abandoned pit bulls caught their food on their own.
They decided to hunt this bull, strayed from its herd… The result of their hunt is inside the post.
Ah these cats, they should be less curious not to find themselves in such situations ;)
This is Stuckey the cat whose head was stuck in the shed on the Indian River Soccer Association grounds.
But everything ended well, Stuckey was rescued and his head is just fine :)
Kazakh people manages to preserve the traditions of their ancestors – hunting with eagles.
You will see on the pictures birds of prey chasing hares.
They are impressive, real predators!
Those pics were taken in Russia. They gave condensed milk to the polar bears who apparently love it!
It must be a scary but great experience!
Doesn’t it look familiar to you? And all of this happened in the sky.
Thousands of birds were creating these formations, which can be identified with animals and even well known cartoon characters. Check them out after the jump.
PS. It’s not Photoshop.
Meet one of the most poisonous and also ugliest sea creatures - stonefish.
This creature of only 15-20 centimeters long with an ugly big head, small eyes and large mouth lives in the coastal regions of Indo-Pacific oceans.
They are extremely dangerous. There are cases when a person dies within a few hours or even minutes after the injection of poisonous spines.
People who are lucky enough to survive a stonefish sting often remain disabled.
Apparently it was very hungry… and lazy too. Instead of going for a hunt, it tried to devour its own tail :)
Cats are creatures that can squeeze themselves almost everywhere, in any jar, bag, cardboard box etc. And the best thing is, it is always funny :)))
Here’s the process of transforming a donkey into a zebra in a Palestinian zoo.
Because children should know what a zebra is.
This collection of chicken was captured by photographer Stephen Green-Amytage.
I must say that they don’t look like the ones I’ve seen in my life…
Some have quite a style!
Not the usual kids playing around…
It happened in Alaska. It seems they had a lot of fun ))
This time we are going to observe a panda in a zoo.
Pandas are very funny, clumsy and this one seems to be a very lazy sleepyhead ))

This Labrador retriever works in a BP gas station/convenience store in Florida!
It all began when the man in charge of the store decided to take his dog at work with him. The guy put a shirt with a BP logo on the dog, and gave him a name tag because according to him, all employees have to wear one.
Since that, it’s the dog that greets all the customers… it’s not a complicated task but it’s a good start :))

After viewing these pictures, it became very clear to me that I would never try this job.
Even if you work for many years with these predators and know all about their behaviour, there’s no guarantee that you’d be safe, plus shit still happens…
Now it has really become popular to make creative and original calendars with different funny animals.
This time, we will look at the excellent 2010 calendar - Ferrets Go Fishing.
