This blue 4-year-old Great Dane named George is a real giant. He could be the world’s tallest dog! He is 43 inches tall (from paw to shoulder), 7ft 3ins (from nose to tail) and weighs 245lbs (111kg)! Another quite interesting detail: George consumes 110 pounds of food every month!!
His owners are awaiting confirmation from Guinness World Records to see if he’s actually the tallest dog in the world..
Pictures are really impressive!

Andy and Pike, 2 polar bears at the San Francisco Zoo had a nice gift for the first day of winter. Indeed, 10 tons of donated ice was turned in snow and shot into their exhibit to create a fun playground on December 21.
Look how happy they are, it’s the best gift they could offer to those two polar bears, except freedom and real snow…

Romanian Lucian Craita had a small lion cub called Richie that lived in his courtyard. The cub spent there eighteen months and was very attached to his owner, they were inseparable. So, to give his best friend a better life in a big cat sanctuary in South Africa, Lucian decided to pass the lion to Vier Pfoten, an international animal rights foundation which relocated Richie there.
Yes, it is hard to say good bye…
And if you missed the incredible story about another lion cub, you can check out this post. I bet you’ll like it!

A certain James Gurney has made portraits of a gorilla and a chimpanzee in the North Carolina Zoo.
He approached the glass with a submissive posture, then, when a gorilla came right up to the glass and posed for him, he started to make a portrait.
He did the same with a chimpanzee that apparently wanted James Gurney to show him every ten minutes or so how he was coming along on the sketch…
It seems that they like to pose and are curious to see the result!

Poor cat, its owners hang a tasty chicken so high.
But the cat did not give up and would fight for its prey ‘til the end
P.S. It is unknown whether the cat got the desired result, but it did lots of efforts.

Doesn’t it look familiar to you? And all of this happened in the sky.
Thousands of birds were creating these formations, which can be identified with animals and even well known cartoon characters. Check them out after the jump.
PS. It’s not Photoshop.

Meet one of the most poisonous and also ugliest sea creatures - stonefish.
This creature of only 15-20 centimeters long with an ugly big head, small eyes and large mouth lives in the coastal regions of Indo-Pacific oceans.
They are extremely dangerous. There are cases when a person dies within a few hours or even minutes after the injection of poisonous spines.
People who are lucky enough to survive a stonefish sting often remain disabled.
–
Apparently it was very hungry… and lazy too. Instead of going for a hunt, it tried to devour its own tail :)

Cats are creatures that can squeeze themselves almost everywhere, in any jar, bag, cardboard box etc. And the best thing is, it is always funny :)))
