Living on the shores of Lake Van, near the city of Van, this Van Cat and a local fox are often seen playing together. A local fisherman said he first saw them together when they shared some fish left over from the fisherman. The pair soon began to play together and it has now been over a year since they began this unlikely friendship.

With a passion for wild animals, Annel applied to the Department of Nature Conservation for a permit to keep and raise them on her farm and since 2009 has hand-reared a cheetah cub, five lions, a white lion, a leopard and six Serval kittens (a medium-sized African wild cat).
