Everyone loves a bit of real–life drama, and Hurricane Sandy has offered just this, in bucket loads.
Kigurumi is an extreme form of cosplay that involves wearing a costume along with an oversized, fake head. In Tokyo’s Akihabara district, the Kigurumi Café t.t.t offers customers a fairly unique dining experience as waitresses here, wear full-body suits of popular anime characters and even play mini games with the customers whilst in character. The café does have a strict ‘no touching’ policy although they do allow photographs.

“Venus”, the yacht in question, was started in 2009 as a project by Steve Jobs himself and is a luxury craft designed by Philippe Starck in collaboration with Dutch company, Feadship. Steve’s widow, Laurene Powell Jobs, and their 3 children were at the launch of this magnificent vessel in the Netherlands, which has 27 inch iMacs in the wheelhouse to help run the controls.
The New Zealand airport boast a 13m tall Gollum Statue, complete with giant, swimming fish. It certainly makes for an unexpected sight!
