These pictures were taken by an American university professor Dr. Bill Podlich in 1967 and show a very different Afghanistan to the one we see today.
Diane and Tony Rowles work at Rudozem Street Dog Rescue, which is a nonprofit foundation in Bulgaria. They found this poor dog on the streets in a nearby town and loving nurtured him back to full health. You won’t believe how he looks now.
