South Korea conducts annual winter exercises. More than 200 soldiers a month have received special military training.
Soldiers had a lot of things to go through, because these were truly Spartan conditions.
This interesting and rather unusual residential complex was built in China.
The building consists of a set of blocks which are shifted by 2 meters horizontally. It was designed to gain additional space that was used for the construction of terraces.
As for me, it looks something like a LEGO building, only in real life.

What would it give if you cross faces of world’s most beautiful women? Perhaps many have thought about it.
If you are interested, then take a look inside the post. This is, of course, somewhat arbitrary, but still, interesting to see...
One girl from South Korea decided to “adjust” her face a little bit by going under the knife.
You will see the process of transformation inside the post. Looking at these photos makes me somehow uncomfortable, so it is very true: one must suffer to be beautiful ;)
This artwork is called Leafage Carving and is a very complicated process.
These images aren’t drawn on the leaves but carved.
The whole operation includes more than 60 working procedures. In brief, when creating the image, only a portion of the leaf’s surface is cut off, while a very thin, almost invisible translucent layer remains.
I’m stunned, it is really need to be seen!
Hwacheon County is home to an ice fishing festival in which thousands of competitors try to catch as many wild trouts as possible. This takes place in the Hwacheoncheon (stream) during nearly the entire month of January. The festival organizers claim there are roughly 1,000,000 visitors annually.

Annually, MAD club organizes the New Year charity race called Hoar Cross Downhill Soap Box. The race is run over a 1.25 mile course downhill, so all who want to participate in the race come here every time as well as thousands of visitors because the most unthinkable carts are involved in the competition.

Burj Khalifa, formerly known as Burj Dubai, is a skyscraper in Dubai, UAE, and the tallest man-made structure ever built, at 828 m (2,717 ft).
I’m sure all of you have seen some pics during the past years as the construction began on September 2004, but the famous tallest building in the world officially opened on 4 January 2010, and so, there’re new things to see..
We will see a bit of everything in this post, from the building itself to the opening ceremony that occurred recently. We’ll also take a look on photos of the construction, photos taken from different heights of the building, photos of the fountains and we won’t miss the world record of base jumping that has been established few days ago.
And don’t forget to watch the videos at the end of the post..

2 geologists have rescued two young deer which were stuck on the middle of a frozen lake.
A very good deed that saved the lives of those two poor creatures.
