The famous landmark in the Hollywood Hills area of Mount Lee in Los Angeles was created in 1923 as an advertisement.
Unfortunately for the advertisers, this sign was a frequent target of pranks and vandalism at that time.
Luckily for us, there’s always someone to take a photo, even at that time…
So let’s see now how the sign looked like when it was pranked or vandalized…
This technique is fascinating. It’s an amazing way of decomposing an action.
As the thing you want to capture has to be in motion for the sequence photography to work, this technique is mostly used with sports.
You’ll find here some great shots using this technique.
Enjoy!
The title sums it up pretty well, so, no need to tell more, let’s just take a look at the pictures…
This 21 year-old Indian is fond of lizards. He loves them so much that he often puts them on his face and even in his mouth. Gross…
He is well known in his village and people like to watch him play with them. Because of all that, they called him ‘Lizard Boy’.

Here are some sad black and white photos showing a bit how things happen over there…
I’m sure you’re wondering who’s living in such a snowy and isolated place?
Well actually, not a lot of people and it’s certainly not their first home as it is for their work!
It’s in fact a meteorological station which is located in the Giant Mountains, in the north of the Czech Republic.
Dominique Gisin of Switzerland crashed heavily in the women's downhill at Vancouver Olympic Games.

We have here some beautiful pictures of Odin, a white Bengal tiger eating meat underwater. These photos are a bit old now but we have the complete collection..
Photograph Fernando Pinto took these shots in Six Flags Discovery Kingdom an amusement and animal park located in Vallejo, California.
It’s truly impressive, a real show in itself. I’d love to see that for real.
Ice-skating is not that easy, everyone knows that and we can see it by the tensed faces of figure-skaters, but it seems okay while we watch it on TV. The interesting part starts when we make a pause during a precise moment. This way we can see how their faces are priceless :))
This incredible project called Running the Numbers: An American Self-Portrait, was made by photographer Chris Jordan.
It’s not just raw numbers which won’t give us a good representation or won’t have a desired effect on us. With these photos, the quantities of everything consumed in America can be seen through another angle, more interesting I would say.
Skull With Cigarette, 2007 [based on a painting by Van Gogh].
Depicts 200,000 packs of cigarettes, equal to the number of Americans who die from cigarette smoking every six months.
