A promotional campaign took place in Sydney to mark the opening of a new clothing label. A 400-pound block of ice was put at the Martin Place with 1000 Australian dollars frozen inside. To get them, people had to work hard ;)
Only 11 objects will be needed for you to make a pinhole camera yourself. It is quite easy but demands some precisions. You’ll see the process of making after the jump.

As it was found out later, the car had an aftermarket remote start system installed by the owner which was in discordance to factory safety system. As the vehicle was left in gear, after the button on the remote was pushed, it started the car and the car started to drive…

Russian nature photographer Igor Shpilenok spent his winter in Kronotsky Nature Reserve two years ago. This Reserve is neighboring many wild animals. Igor’s cat Ryska was with him guarding the house from mice and foxes ;)
These pictures were taken for the family album. But Igor’s wife decided to send one of the photos to London to enter a prestigious contest Wildlife Photographer of the Year. Well, the picture won in Urban and Garden Wildlife category!
Such simple landscapes, but they look so incredible on these photos made by British photographer Tim Simmons! I haven’t seen anything like this. Everything looks so beautiful, impressive and magnificent. Though all the pictures are taken at night, the colors are bright and rich.

This Mexico’s island is called La Isla de las Munecas in Spanish. Its story is rather curious. People say that a girl drowned here, and since then the island was known as a haunted spot. Outsider Julian Santana decided to live here to honor the child spirit with dolls. Santana dies in 2001, however, thousands of discarded dolls he brought to the island as an offering are still there.

Dutch photographer Maarten Wetsema is fond of dogs. He creates unique portraits of these pets persuading them to sit like real photo models. Enjoy amazing dog shoots after the jump!
Children from a distant village in Colombia ride to school using a zipline that is 1,312 ft (400 m) long! They move pretty quickly reaching the top speed of 38 mi/h (62 km/h). By the way, kids manage to carry their younger brothers and sisters in hemp sacks. I just can’t understand how they go back home…
