It’s always funny to see things from other countries, especially Asia where things are pretty different from here.Take a look, there’s plenty of funny stuff in there…
Check out the first part, in case you missed it:
Only in Asia

The photos in this post are memories of yesteryear. From Mickey Mouse to Mr. Wizard they are all here. These photos will bring back lots of fond childhood memories. These memories are forever etched in our minds.

Based on senior pictures students create nowadays, you can understand their dreams and hopes. I bet photographers keep some of the following pictures for their own records ;)

Who do you think lives in this gorgeous house? You’ll find the answer inside this post.

Can the same woman look different every day? Yes, it is possible, proved by photographer Nienke Klunder who created a series of self-portraits to show the different roles of a woman in modern life. This series is comic in some ways and tragic in the others. Enjoy!

Take a close look at this boiled egg. Even half an hour of boiling didn’t kill weird inhabitants that seem to enjoy being alive.

It seems that many people who attend the World Cup matches don’t know how to use condoms. At least these free condoms distributed by AIDS Awareness Campaign activists before the match Netherlands vs. Slovakia were misused by many football fans. How sad…

These photos are of four giant gasometers in Vienna that were constructed in 1896. They have been renovated and are now used as modern living spaces. They feature environmentally friendly terraces, interior gardens, and translucent roofs.

Pictures of “ancient” swimsuits.

Some people get a year dose of adrenaline after taking a roller coaster ride. Others need adrenaline every day. This is their hobby, style of life and profession. Such people are often called daredevils.

A great collection of positive emotions. I hope these smiley faces will lift your spirits as you will see both people and animals after the jump!

Hakone Pavilion is a very unusual remote wooded playhouse built in Japan. It’s best to visit on a sunny day. See why inside this post ;)

I’m sure you’ll recognize this nose everywhere ;)

This huge fish was found dead on the Yasawas Islands, Fiji. It seems that it died after trying to swallow a puffer fish… Not the best dinner, huh?

Take a look at how seventh graders describe scientists before and after their visit to Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory. These drawings will tell you a lot about child’s attitude towards science workers ;)

The photos in this post are some world’s biggest stuff. Although many of these things are totally useless, other than to have your picture taken with, they are very interesting. Most represent real life items that are simply hugely oversized.

“As Long As We Both Shall Live" is a documentary created in the USA. It researches the marriage situation in America for the last three generations. All marriages that are shown in this project have the same feature. They all last for at least 40 years!
Can you imagine being happy with your second half for this period of time? Personally I would love to marry once and forever though it often sounds like a fairy tale nowadays.

Bees are fascinating insects. Not only do they pollinate all of our plant life but they also make honey, sometimes referred to as the nectar of the Gods. These photos show you exactly how that honey is obtained.

This is probably one of the most beautiful atmosphere phenomena. Light pillars can be observed in cities with many different colorful light sources. The main requirements needed for light pillars to appear are low temperature (at least 20 C below zero), wind absence and a big number of ice crystals in the atmosphere. Ice crystals should be plate shaped. They float in the air close to the ground reflecting light back downwards. The whole scene looks beautiful and fantastic.

A couple of chairs, a table, lights and storage for your papers are the parts of a nice portable office called Kruikantoor. This invention created by Dutch designers can be useful for businessmen who travel a lot. It’s compact and doesn’t require much room. At the same time it is comfortable and nice looking.
Take a look at another Egg Shape Mobile Unit to compare with Kruikantoor.

Armored troop carriers made in Russia are well-known all over the world. These machines are made on the Arzamaz Machine-Building Plant in Nizhny Novgorod region. Inside this post you can take a virtual tour of the plant facilities. As for me, it's rather interesting.
