This is a true story. It happened some time ago.
In one small English town, a crowd of people had gathered under a tree.
They thought about how to save the iguana, which they clearly saw on one of the branches.
It was decided to call emergency services. Rescuers arrived, climbed the tree and ... started to laugh.
You’ll see why after the jump.
This rather unusual house looks very much like a water tower. In fact, it may have been one at one time. While it is very elegant on the inside, its round shape contrasts sharply with the square corners of some of the stairs and the kitchen. It is a very strange house indeed.
These beautiful rocks are known as the Moeraki boulders and are unusually large. They lie along Koekohe Beach on the coast of New Zealand. There are local legends that say that these rocks are unusual enough that they look as if they are not of this world.
Light and Fire performers all over the world create amazing shows. When you watch such shows in real life, you think they are unreal. When you see the photos created by “light” performers, you can’t take your eyes off unusual and beautiful pictures...
Fish can help you to treat serious skin diseases. A special thermal spa in Turkey allows patients from all over the world swimming in the pool and letting the fish eat all infected parts of their skin. Fish “doctors” can help people to fight chronic, intractable diseases. Some people might find this treatment a bizarre method, but it’s very helpful!
These photos show just how beautiful, majestic, and powerful a volcano can be. The sights Mother Nature creates for us is awesome.
You have probably seen this on news – the long lines in front of Apple stores as hundreds of people waiting for their purchase. An estimated 700,000 iPads have been sold on Sunday in the USA, and now you have a chance to look at opening-day sales and see the disassembled iPad in the end of this post. Enjoy!
A Chinese acrobat nearly fell into the jaws of a tiger while performing various tricks. Luckily, the guy wasn’t hurt after almost being attacked by a huge wild animal.
The goth subculture exists since 1980s. However today you can meet not only traditional goths (those who dress in black and listen to rock music), but also cybergoths who enjoy electronic dance music. Do they look alike? You be the judge!
Edit: These are supposedly poor neighborhoods of Slovakia. Thanks a lot to our visitors who helped us to get the facts straight :)
These photos were taken by Mark Johnson and show members of the Mexican gang named the Southsiders hanging out near the LA River in Los Angeles, California. The Southsider gang has the geographic area from the Mexican border to Bakersfield. California’s Mexican gangs are separated into the Southsiders and the Nortenos.
The two gangs are mortal enemies.
Creative German children’s art makes some people nervous when they see this bus stop. Why? You will understand everything yourself after the jump.
These photos show the special relationship all babies and kittens seem to have with each other. Maybe it is because they are both so young but kittens and babies always seem to get along. Perhaps it is just something that is meant to be without any other explanation.
These amazing dolls of newborns are created by Glenda Ewart from Ireland. They look hyper-realistic, and many people around the world order “reborn” dolls of their children as a long-term memento. However some people use these dolls for therapeutic needs: they place a doll in a nursery and treat it like if it was their own child.
Don’t forget to check out the first part of “living” dolls: Almost “Real” Baby Dolls (31 pics)
Can you turn a common scene from your everyday life into a masterpiece? Yes, you can if you have a vivid imagination as Kevin Van Aelst does. This contributing photographer to the New York Times Magazine loves expressive art.
Take a look at these great pictures of how the river gets rid of ice. What an incredible sight!
This playground has the worst location ever. It was spotted in NY. Everything is great here, except for one thing…
This house is nice, cute, quite big and doesn’t cost that much. However…
Look how children’s drawings would look like if they were painted realistically by professional artists. Personally I like all the works from The Monster Engine book. What about you?
Here’s a collection of some cities that were captured on photos by a fleet of GeoEye satellites. There is Venice, Versailles, Beijing, and many others.
