These creative photos were taken by Ross Brown. They will test the strength of your imagination and have a unique take on life.
In Tokyo, a company launched a new coffee shop that has transformed their waitresses to ‘maids’. However, as hard as it may be to believe all of these are male waiters but some of them look very feminine. If you think of visiting this place somehow, be careful ;)
One of the most powerful earthquakes in history happened in Chile last Saturday, measuring 8.8 on the Richter scale.
Over 400 people were killed… the bad thing about this earthquake is also that it provoked a Tsunami which was heading in the direction of Hawaii. The good thing is that the damage was minimal. The waves were from 5.5-6.5 feet.
These motorcycles are from different countries and all date from WWII.
We will make through this post a little but interesting leap into the past.
This is the reality of suburbs and slums of the city which will host Olympics in 2016.
As you can see from these pictures, the dark side of this beautiful city is shown. The police have long ago lost any control in these areas. Now it is drug dealers and criminal groups who are reigning there. Apart from adult drug addicts, you can also see children wandering the streets looking for crack or other drugs.
Very sad reality…

The base in these photos is home to the 309th Aerospace Maintenance And Regeneration Group (309 AMARG) which repairs some of the aircraft and even gets some of them flying again. Electronics, wiring, munitions, and engines are all recycled to help reduce the cost of maintaining today’s fleet. The U.S. government even allows the military in other countries to buy parts and planes from the site. The facility is the size of 1,300 football fields. The desert is a perfect place to store the mass of steel, because the small amount of rainfall means low humidity which means very little rust occurs.
Bill Thomas is what Steve Martin would call a “Wild and Crazy Guy”. It would appear from these photos that he is trying to find new and clever ways to commit suicide. While some of the methods do seem clever and ingenious, we’re not too sure how effective they would be.
In Canada when the final match of women’s hockey tournament at the 2010 Olympic Games ended Canadian woman began to drink beer and champagne and smoke cigars, and were completely rowdy.
I think it is fair to say that the old Asian gentleman in these photos doesn’t care for barbers. At least one could draw that conclusion from his head of hair which appears not to have been cut for what looks like about 20 years.
As you can see from these pictures, lots of great things can be done from wood.
And I thought that wooden toys sucked… I was so wrong.
WHY is a luxury yacht designed by Wally Hermès Yachts. Indeed, it has everything one can dream of when it comes to yachts.
The yacht’s shape resembles a horseshoe, it has 900 m² thermophotovoltaic panels and 2,000 kWh stored energy. Apart from stairs there’s also an elevator that connects three decks. There’s a 25 meter pool, spa, helipad, sauna, gym and massage room, a music room, a dining room, a cinema, suites, terraces, a lounge.
The price of the yacht is estimated at $ 150 million
In these Gap ads in Vancouver all the logos, mannequins, signs, and even cars in the parking lot near the store are turned upside down. The idea belongs to the advertising agency Cossette West, and a slogan reads: “Shopping turned on its head”.
The name of the cigars being hand rolled in these photos is Cohiba which belongs to the Tiano Indians who were first encountered by Columbus on his way to America. The cigars were originally registered in Cuba in 1969. The name of the brand originally meant the Government of Cuba. Cuban cigar rollers are known as torcedores and are touted as being the most skilled cigar rollers in the world. Torcedores are highly respected in Cuban culture and society and travel worldwide displaying their art of hand rolling cigars.
As can be seen from these photos following the end of the war in the Battle of Stalingrad there is nothing left but wreckage. The carnage left behind after a war is nearly unfathomable. It is more than just man’s inhumanity to man, it is also man’s inhumanity to the planet.
After a night of getting drunk this Ukrainian tourist who has a hangover will leave the taxpayers with a huge rescue bill and a night he will never forget. Following a night on the town, enjoying the best in 100 proof liquid refreshments, this 19 year old man wound up getting stuck and passing out halfway down a cliff he was scaling near Manly. Rescue workers were alerted by a fisherman and found that the man was asleep on his back on a ledge 30 m above sea level at North Head early the next morning. While the man will only be charged the cost of a trip to the hospital, as little as $700, the rescue operation will cost taxpayers at least $10,000. The man who repeatedly shook the man’s leg to wake him so he could be safely winched back up, Garth Thomson, said he had never seen anything like this in his ambulance career of 15 years.
As these photos show people with all the best intentions can make some rather humorous errors in their signs when rallying to their favorite political cause. It makes one wonder how these people get so attached to political causes when they can’t spell “polotics”.
Yesterday we posted beautiful babies asleep, today the post is about children from the past and the way they were. There’s something mysterious in the vintage pictures and it acts as a magnet that can make us look at them for a long minutes. I don’t know about you, but that how it happens with me. I just love old pictures that made it through history to reach us and can tell a thing or two…
If you hate additions, well I think this entry will be a good way for you to make peace with mathematics…
The idea may be very simple here, the result is hilarious.
Don’t miss it.
Signs forbidding you to do precise things are everywhere, in fact there are so many of those signs that we don’t even pay attention to them anymore.
But I’m sure if you take time to look at them, you’ll see some of them are as unusual as this one.
