What combines this compilation of pictures is the month they were made in. All these events took place in February. And now you can once again enjoy amazing moments shown in these wonderful snap shots made by Reuters photographers.
Here’s a big collection of ordinary objects and a simple wire that make these pictures so amazing. Some photos in this selection have been already posted on the site but it was more than one year ago and not too many people could see it. So, you’ll see brand new works as well as older ones.
This work is really creative and fun to look at!
This nuclear bunker hidden beneath a farmhouse was built in Scotland in 1940s. Government kept this place in secret for over 50 years. Only in 1994 this bunker became a museum. Today it is open for visitors from all over the world.
The GeoEye employees have selected a collection of photos taken by GeoEye satellite. All pictures show detailed views of the earth surface and are devoted to natural catastrophes. In these snap shots you can find forest fires, floods, cyclones and hurricanes that occurred in America, Europe and Asia. The editor of these pictures says that the following photos demonstrate how unfriendly our Earth can be. All pictures are clickable inside the post.

Is it a guitar or a computer? Maybe a bit of both now, though I don’t think it sounds the same as before…
See inside the post how a guy modified his guitar to integrate in it computer pieces.
Over 500 athletes from 44 different countries from around the world have descended on Vancouver Canada, for the 2010 Vancouver Winter Paralympic Games. Following a separate opening ceremony and torch relay, competitors faced off in five different sports: Cross country skiing, Biathlon, Alpine skiing, Wheelchair curling, and Sledge hockey. The last three are broken down into classes of the visually impaired, standing, and sitting. The Winter Paralympics will continue until the Closing Ceremony on Sunday March 21st.
Some things happen so fast they we can’t see the details. But high speed photography allows us discovering amazing events unnoticed in the blink of an eye. High speed photographers have their own techniques on how to freeze events in time, for example by using flash exposures that create a flash lasting just 1 microsecond or a millionth of a second. It’s very quickly! Inside this post you can find a photo collection of the best moments caught by high speed photographers.
This is the thirteenth floor of one apartment building which is located in Kiev, Ukraine. One family that lives on this floor decided to decorate it in a very unusual way. People who have ever been there told that when they stepped out from the elevator it seemed that they got into some fairy tale. It must be cool, I’d like to see it myself one day.
The Chand Baori is an amazing structure of ancient architecture, astonishing in its scope. The step wells were built only in India, and Chand Baori is the most profound and beautiful step well in the world. Its depth is equal to the height of a 13-storey building. They say that when you are at the bottom of the well it is impossible to distinguish the 4 corners of the well and it can make you go crazy… It’s only a rumor though..
Polish illustrator Mariusz Kozik can really amaze! I can’t stop starring at his collection of war computer graphics. He seems to enjoy drawing medieval knights and modern infantries. As far as I know Kozik works for a game studio, so you might be playing computer games drawn by this illustrator.
I wish I could live in this wonderful house built on a mango tree. Only think about it: you can eat as many mangos as you wish, and if you don’t like this tropical fruit you can always make mango juice for your friends. Wouldn’t that be awesome?
It appears from these photos that scientists are really making bionic animals and insects. I wonder which of these concepts might really make it from Photoshop to the engineering lab. Perhaps someday someone will make these science fiction animals and insects a reality.
Have you heard about Doug Landis? This artist is amazing! Look at his pencil sketches. They are very unique! Do you want to find out why? Go inside the post and solve the mystery at the bottom of the page.
The most difficult moment in a man’s life comes when he has to make a proposal. You have to come up with a unique idea and make this moment unforgettable. It’s not that easy if you don’t have a tiny face. Look at this photo shoot of the engagement of this interesting couple. She looks so happy, he looks so hilarious, and their engagement scenario is very unique and a bit strange!
Tired of work? Here is a new collection of demotivators! Enjoy!

This house in Vietnam is officially called Hang Nga Guesthouse. However all locals refer to this architecture masterpiece as Dalat crazy house. Well, this house is indeed strange because it doesn’t compile to any building conventions. All these unusual turns and twists make Dalat house look like a fairy tale castle. I wish I could come here as to the museum. By the way, tourists enjoy visiting this misshapen concrete structure with unexpected things like spider webs, animal figures and mysterious creatures inside.
The base of this house is a tree. Crazy house’s architect is Hang Nga, a woman whose father was the President of Vietnam back in 1980s.
Some people find this little wonder way too weird. As for me, Hang Nga guesthouse lavish style reminds me of Barcelona with its famous Gaudi buildings. It’s truly a little wonder!
How many chip flavors do you know? Can you name… at least 100 different flavors? If you could have visited the National Potato Chip Day in Chicago you would have been surprised by the variety of your choice. Sour cream and onions aren’t the only chip tastes that exist today. Take a look at these photos and choose chip flavor that you would like to try.
No, these aren’t the scenes from Lord of the Rings though this castle was a prototype of Tolkien’s tower. This is a rocky tidal island Mont Saint Michel located in France. The first establishment was constructed here in 709. The diameter of this island is almost 1km. It is elevated at 92m above sea level. This island is known in Europe for its highest marine waves that reach 9m and turn rocky island into an island or half-an-island from time to time. Mont Saint Michel was declared a historic monument in 1874. Today it has 80 citizen including 50 monks.
Some people like to change their outfits, but this guy enjoys designing his own head. Why would he do this? I have no idea, but the results are amazing and sometimes beautiful! More pictures are inside this post.
Sushi bars and other Chinese restaurants aren’t the only ones to be found in Asia. Somebody seems to remember Hitler times, because you can have your dinner at Nazi-themed bars and restaurants. Which one looks at you?
The sculptures in these photos are by Peter Gronquist who obviously has a vivid imagination. He seems to have a fascination with violence, guns, and hunting. To say that these sculptures are bizarre would be an understatement.
