This underground house situated in Vals, Switzerland, offers a stunning view of the mountains around.
The house is buried almost completely into one side of a hill but it has an oblique opening for light to better come into it. In fact, all of the rooms wrap around the interior courtyard.
It must be cool to live there and have this beautiful view each day… ))

Illegal whaling is a fairly serious problem today.
To fight these "pirates" is difficult, because their vessels are fast enough and equipped with radars.
But now, with the appearing of the trimaran Ady Gil, which design allows the wave-piercing, and the speed of about 45 knots, the chances of whalers will highly decrease. It is said that the vessel will be able to physically block Japanese harpoon ships.
Well, let's see the pictures of this unusual vessel.

Do you remember the smallest house in Canada? Well, this one is even thinner than the Canadian one, moreover, it is 5 times more expensive. Its cost is of £549,950 ($879,920).
The house is situated on Goldhawk Road and has the surface of 1,000sq ft on three floors.
Well, I wouldn’t pay as much money for this even if I had them, but it seems quite cozy :)

Here’s the smallest snowman in the world that looks like two scoops of ice scream and its size is only of one fifth of the width of a strand of hair!
This cute snowman was created by the British National Physical Laboratory using tools destined for manipulating nano-particles. They welded the snowman together out of two tiny tin beads using small deposits of platinum and a focused ion beam carved its eyes, smile and put in place its platinum nose.
Then it was magnified in a blue light and gave this image of almost a real snowman :)

Known as The Float at Marina Bay (or Marina Bay Floating Platform), this floating stadium is the world's largest floating stage. It is located on the waters of the Marina Reservoir, in Marina Bay, Singapore.
Made entirely of steel, the floating platform measures 120 metres long and 83 metres wide. It can bear up to 1,070 tonnes, equivalent to the total weight of 9,000 people, 200 tonnes of stage props and three 30-tonne military vehicles. The gallery at the stadium has a seating capacity of 30,000 people.
The stage took 13 months to build, and by April 2007, the platform and seating gallery were completed.
I think it’s a great idea, but the grandstands seem to be quite far…

These are works of photographer Kerry Skarbakka. He photographs himself falling out of windows, trees etc.
In some of the pictures, security equipment is used, especially for heavy falling but for the others, it was just plain falls without any mattresses or security equipment.
