Lady Gaga and the Cookie Thought (52 pics)

It is not the cookies on a computer which I’m talking about. Little did Lady Gaga know when she made a statement that her celebrity popularity could want to make the people taste her and lick her, somebody was making serious notes.
That somebody happened to be an interesting couple who hail from Florida. They have made it possible for the world to literally take a bite at Lady Gaga or lick her in the real sense. The cookies have just about captured most of Lady Gaga’s celebrity moments.
Talk about taking the statements so seriously :)

Cabins of Boeing 747 airplanes at Air New Zealand have been seriously updated. The majority of the changes have been made to both the premium economy and the economy sections. The changes include eleven rows of Skycouches which can be converted into twin flat beds suitable for two people. However, you can also find iPod connectors, power sockets, and USB ports in each and every single coach seat.

Giant Ship For Whale Watching (5 pics + 1 gif)

A Floating Instrument Platform (FLIP) ship is a floating instrument platform and manned research vessel that is 355 feet long. The FLIP has been widely used to study the acoustics of whales and other marine mammals, the effects of seismic waves on the water, and heat exchange between the atmosphere and the ocean. It works by being towed out to sea and having one end submerged. The instruments and crew are located in a portion of the ship that remains above the surface of the ocean. This giant ship is most impressive.

It offers a hostess on duty 24/7, a Jacuzzi, a sauna, a Blu ray DVD player, as many as three flat screen TVs and, above all, a comfortable room all to yourself. These luxury accommodations that have all the accoutrements of a luxury hotel are provided courtesy of a Cold War era East German airplane that has been turned into a hotel which is located at Teuge Airport, Netherlands. It is truly a unique airplane which will cost you a pretty penny should you decide you want to stay in a plane that stays grounded outside the airport.

It seems that as the world economy turns sour, the workers who do have jobs are working even harder. These photos depict the worker doing just that. Some of the jobs seem unbelievable to many of us. Some are more dangerous, others are routine and even boring. Nevertheless, the human worker is truly an amazing being that exemplifies the old adage that when the going gets tough, the tough get going.

Edible Chocolate Fashion (18 pics)

Fashion can be many things, beautiful, skimpy, dressy, over the top, but edible? Well that is certainly the case with the fashion statements made by the women in these photos. Every inch of the outfits worn by these women is edible chocolate. Whether made by poured chocolate or the results of hundreds of candy bars, all of these outfits are edible chocolate. This makes the fashions in these photos as delectable and scrumptious as the ladies who wear them.

How does that saying go “One man’s trash is another man’s treasure”? That is certainly the case in these photographs taken in Melbourne, Australia and can be seen from the Geelong Train line. While some people see the artwork as graffiti others see it as art. Some folk want it removed and others want it to stay. This brings up another old saying; “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder”. Where do you come down on this debate?

In a beautiful part of southern China there are some mountains called the Southern Sky Column Mountains which have recently been renamed to the Avatar Hallelujah Mountains after the floating mountains that were featured in the blockbuster movie Avatar. The floating Hallelujah Mountains in the movie were the inspiration of a Hollywood photographer who, in 2008, shot photos of the Southern Sky Column Mountains. Now, tourists can go on a tour to see Avatar's floating mountain and learn that they were once called the Southern Sky Mountains.

If you enjoyed “WTF Retro Pictures”, we think you will enjoy these as well. Can you imagine the nerve of the people playing tennis on the wing of a flying airplane, or the hilarity of an obese man riding a mini bike? And my but didn’t the girls go wild over rock and roll stars of days gone by. How ridiculous is it to have a bear taking a picture of a little boy or one of the first flying saucers? Equally amazing are a cowboy and his horse drinking from the same pond. Ah, the good old days. It is truly amazing that mankind survived them, yet we have such fond memories of them.

The Human Spirit (21 pics)

That is one of the things that separate us from the animals. How else can you explain 11 year old Dayton Hennessey who is able to wrestle, successfully at that, with both arms and both legs amputated as a result of a life threatening bacterial infection? This little boy from the Virginia suburbs shows moxie and courage far beyond his years. Not only does he wrestle but he also leads a very athletic and happy life doing things like riding his scooter around his neighborhood, ice skating, or playing football. His zest for life and drive to achieve can be summed up in three words; The Human Spirit. It should be an inspiration to us all.

If You Think These Are Natural Landscapes You Are Wrong (16 pics)

Artist Matthew Albanese created a “Sugarscape” out of corn syrup, jelly, and twenty pounds of sugar. Although the model may look like scene directly from Antarctica it took the artist over two months to grow the crystals in his studio. He also used such materials as paprika for his Martian landscape, cotton and many others to give this incredible illusion of something real. So if you have ever seen a landscape that you thought looked good enough to eat; now you have seen the real thing. It is truly a work of art.

That old adage seems to be true as does the one that says that there is someone for everyone. So what difference does size or weight make anyway? Much the same as age difference, it would appear not much. If two people are happy together why should physical characteristic or chronological differences make in a relationship. It is all about what one person sees in another, not about what the rest of see in them. All that really matters is what makes them happy. In fact, if they are happy we should be happy for them, right?

Look At What The Chinese Manage To Do With Bridges (6 pics)

Posted in PICTURES       27 Jan 2010       8435
One would think that it would only take some dynamite to bring a standing bridge down, however that is not the case. It would appear that it takes a good many man hours to destroy a bridge, especially if the bridge was made in China almost entirely from trash in the first place. Much of the trash that was used to construct the bridge must be removed by hand. It probably takes half as much work to destruct a bridge as it does to construct one. Thus, what starts out as trash ends up as trash. It turns out to be a good way to recycle.

Humorous Lunch Notes (12 pics)

Posted in PICTURES       27 Jan 2010       31157
Wives can be rather funny at times. Especially when the husband least expects it. Who would think that a simple lunch note left on the fridge could bring such happiness to a hungry man who has come home from the office for lunch. With titles like “On top of your pizza” and “Dear salad” the recipients of these notes must have had a good laugh. So ladies, if you want to bring a little humor to your man’s life, try leaving him a funny lunch note on the fridge. If you believe in one good turn doing another, he may just repay the favor that evening. At the very least, he will be in a good mood…

Don’t Lose Your Head (Or Anything Else) When You Gamble

Posted in PICTURES       27 Jan 2010       5084
Although many people don’t realize it, a person stands to lose a lot more than just what‘s in the bet when they gamble. Gambling is an addiction just as serious as drugs or alcohol. People have gotten themselves so far in debt that they have committed suicide over their losses. Even if you don’t take your own life, lose to the wrong person or crowd and someone else may take it for you. So if you gamble, be careful and never bet more than you can comfortably afford to lose. Your very life may depend on it.

With the population in China it is amazing that these people ever get anywhere. Not only do they not have private transportation, for which there are insufficient roads anyway, but there public transportation systems are absolutely packed beyond belief. People are stacked like cordwood everywhere and there is absolutely no where you can go and be alone.

Global Warming? (30 pics)

Posted in PICTURES       27 Jan 2010       8459
You would be hard pressed to convince some people that global warming really exists. Sure there’s that old scientific evidence that the glaciers are melting and our seas are rising. But does that kind of evidence stand up to the millions of people who live in climates that are nearly sub freezing year around? No wonder there is such skepticism. Just how does one go about rationalizing the inch or so of water that has risen in the Atlantic Ocean over the last few decades to the fact that their car won’t start on a frozen morning after receiving three feet of snow the night before?
