Artists here made a really great job. I’m sure if you did not know that those pics were paintings you would have thought they were photos.

Nothing really to say, they are all very explicit and will make you smile.

The Guantánamo Bay Detention Camp is a detainment facility operated by Joint Task Force Guantánamo of the United States government since 2002 in Guantánamo Bay Naval Base, which is on the shore of Guantánamo Bay, Cuba. The detainment areas consists of three camps in the base: Camp Delta (which includes Camp Echo), Camp Iguana, and Camp X-Ray (which has been closed).
Since October 7, 2001, when the current war in Afghanistan began, 775 detainees have been brought to Guantánamo. Of these, approximately 420 have been released without charge. As of January 2009, approximately 245 detainees remain. On May 20, 2009, the United States Senate passed an amendment to block funds to release prisoners held at the Guantanamo Bay detention camp.
So let’s take a look inside this world famous and controversial detention camp.
The day before yesterday morning, the Morakot typhoon hit Taiwan, one of the most powerful typhoons ever to hit Asia.
On the photos, you will see a six-story hotel that collapsed into a river because of the typhoon.
People were not injured as they were evacuated from the hotel even before the typhoon started.
Photoshoppers like to target celebrities while doing their creative works.
Once again they made a great job, but the stars look like a freak show ;)
For the first time in Moscow was held the Red Bull Flugtag event in which competitors attempt to fly homemade human-powered flying machines.
And there were a lot of flying machines of all kinds.
All this looked very funny and many people came to watch this event and support their favorite team. In short, everybody was in a great mood afterwards.
A great wall painting with an evolution process rather unusual but which sums up pretty much what it’s all about ;)
The artist’s name is Blu (I’m not sure, but looks like him) and he also makes wall-painted animations.
You can see more on his website.
In China, a guy was stopped by the traffic police that handed him a ticket for speeding.
But the driver couldn’t understand how the police could determine his speed. So he started to look for a speed camera that took his speed. Finally, he found the device and was quite surprised that this dubious device could determine his speed correctly.
At his place, I would doubt too.
A few days ago, a new building caught fire in Moscow. A multi-unit dwelling was just built but wasn’t still habitable.
I have only one question: what are they making the building’s facade from for it to burn like a torch?
They are very creepy, indeed, but very well made.
Seven photographers were making the photo-project about Detroit for 5 years.
The whole 5 years they were taking pictures that show the evolving of the city.
Especially nowadays when not many people are satisfied of what Detroit is.
The pictures aim to uncover the city, not what it has been before or what it should be today, but simply the way it is.
Here are the names of photographers who took part in this project: Corine Vermeulen-Smith,
Mitch Cope, Clinton Snider, Mark Alor Powell, Antonio Gomez, Ingo Vetter, Scott Hocking.
“In the depths of north-eastern India, in one of the wettest places on earth, bridges aren't built - they're grown.”
That sums up pretty well the idea of this post, here, the bridges are 100% natural.
Some of those bridges can be over a hundred feet long and they require 10 to 15 years to be fully functional. Some are really old (like hundreds of years) but they become stronger with years…
Look at those amazing shots inside the post.
I got chills down my spine! Original but scary.
I do not recommend viewing this post for those who dream of going to the sea, but cannot do it this year. Like me for example
When I saw those pics I started to dream even more to go there…
Well, even if you are not dreaming about that, after seeing these photos, you too will begin to dream

We already had one fascinating story about a slimming down, the guy has managed to lose about 400 lbs.
And here’s a woman from Russia named Svetlana, after one year and a half she lost nearly 155 lbs. And she deserves respect because it wasn’t that easy for her.
First, she started to walk every day for 1 km, later – 5 km, another step was going to the gym.
But the most stunning thing is her diet:
Breakfast: 2 eggs, or a piece of cheese, or porridge, a piece of black chocolate or a spoon of honey, coffee without sugar.
Second breakfast: half of a pomegranate, green tea.
Lunch: boiled lean meat, fish or a chicken breast, fresh vegetable salad with vegetable oil, green tea.
Snack: a handful of shelled seeds, green apple, grapefruit or pomegranate.
Dinner: green tea.
Now let's look at the fruit of her efforts.
Here is the description of the site: “Logo.Hallucination proposes to use technologies of recognition of images in order to detect subliminal forms of logos or emblems, hidden (generally involuntarily) in the visual environment or in the whole of the images of the Internet. The found images will be accessible in a weblog, proposing a comparison between the original on the one hand and, on the other hand, the brand and its logo.”
I must say that the results are interesting, some comparisons are funny but the majority, if not all, are really twisted. I would not have even seen a single brand (its logo) by myself, even if I had searched for days…
You will find more info on the author’s website.
The pics were taken by NASA astronauts from the International Space Station. At first, the pics were not interesting because all of them were blurred, but techniques and devices evolved over the years and now, you can have beautiful clear photos.
One interesting thing is that Tokyo seen by night is rather green while other cities are more orange/yellow. In fact, the majority of the urban area in Tokyo has light green mercury vapour lamps instead of orange sodium vapour lamps.
You will see pictures by night of London, Madrid, Athens, Cairo, Seoul, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and lots more.
This post is the continuation of another similar post faces of rural poverty.
This series of pictures is mainly concentrated on a 17 years old girl named Autumn (all names have been changed) living in extreme poverty and searching for love and understanding. That’s where the series name Love Me comes from.
Brief facts: she’s still in 9th grade as she missed lots of classes and has not enough passing grades.
At the age of 13, one of her relatives tried to rape her but her family doesn’t believe her.
Her neighbour who once grabbed her breasts, which left bruises, became her boyfriend one week later.
This post made me even sadder than the previous one ((
I hope she’s going to get out of this hellhole one day…
The South Korean SsangYong Motors was already a bankrupt even in winter.
Nearly 600 workers who were fired 76 days ago, barricaded inside the factory and refused to leave.
Before yesterday, Korean Special Forces began the assault on the factory and were met with stones and Molotov cocktails.
But it did not help and the police managed to arrest most of the demonstrators.
There are camping sites by the river. But on the river…I’ve never seen before.
It was invented and created in Holland. The sun, fresh air and water altogether. In other words – a great rest for a bunch of friends or a family.
An excellent advertising about children's safety. Everything is simple and ingenious.
From my part, the advertisers get 5 out 5 for their creative work.
There’s one thing that isn’t clear – did they lack money to finish the construction?
Or maybe there is a very complicated idea behind all this? In short, there may be many versions.
And what do you think?
