A Utah mom has recently made a Japanese-themed birthday party for her daughter, Caitlyn, but Tumblr as always found a note of racism in this. So that’s where a Japanese person had to intervene to explain what real racism is and how it is different from cultural appropriation and cultural appreciation.

Japanese people know that what you eat affects you massively and they learn it at a very young age. For them, school lunch is a crucial part of education – not a break from it. That’s why they try so hard to keep children’s meals so healthy and nutritious.
It’s quite obvious why they like it and why we would like to have some too – as passengers travel nightly from Tokyo to Takamatsu and Izumo, they don’t have to travel uncomfortably, as there is a ton of space for each of them in this express.
Although most urban drainage canals look like apocalyptic rivers of doom, and are full of junk and some suspicious liquids, this Japanese canal is an example for all of those.

It’s obvious they live together for a long time as they are complementing each other even through their dressing style. Even though they’re in their sixties, their style is unmatched and they go by the name bonpon511 on Instagram (a combination of their names, plus the date of their wedding anniversary) and have over 150k followers there.

Japanese cats seem to become immune to cat-deterring spikes (neko-yoke no togetoge in Japanese), which anyone could buy at every 100-yen shop (similar to dollar stores) to prevent cat fur from appearing in undesired places like kitchen table, air conditioners, fences etc.
These photos show that cats were able to adapt to these severe measures and no longer pay attention to the spikes – if they want to be there, they will go there, spikes or no spikes.

It is always inspiring to see unusual and amazing cloud formations. This is one of those situations when a perfectly spherical cloud was captured in Fujisawa, a city in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. Some climate experts says that it is a “roll cloud that forms under wind created from a ‘mountain wave’ (or airstreams going over mountains) on a windy day.”
A guy from Japan posts on his Twitter account mind-blowing photos of coin stacking that defy gravity. Check it out
