Located in Covent Garden, London, the place is packed with all sorts of cozy additions that are bound to distract Google’s staff from work. The lake on the Selfridges roof garden opened for the first time since World War II. The lake is located in London and dyed green and serves cocktails. In order to give the Selfridges a boating license, there were miles of steel used to reinforce the roof so that it would hold the lake.
This 40’ mechanical machine is called the Sultan’s elephant and is made quite a stir as it made it way through the streets of London. It was designed by Francois Delarozière, and commissioned to celebrate the death of Jules Verne. The elephant is operated by a crew of 22 and is powered by a mixture of lever, motors and hydraulics. Its trunk even sprays water.
Sometimes it is not easy to draw from looking at an object or a landscape, let alone to reproduce images from memory. Stephen Wiltshire, 36, also called “the human camera” draws city skylines from memory. What impresses the most is their complexity and precision.

What do you think this man from London photographs with such an enthusiasm?
This is an 18 year old protester in London. He threw a fire extinguisher from the roof of the headquarters of the Tory party. Fortunately, no one was hurt and he was later arrested. Whatever happened to the days when a protest meant a sit in?
This is one of the masterpieces introduced in Tate Modern’s vast Turbine Hall (London) by Chinese artist Ai Weiwei. At first glance, these are usual sunflower seeds. But if you take a closer look, you’ll see huge seeds that are not real. These are hand-painted replicas made out of porcelain. Each seed is unique, and there are one hundred million of them. Can you believe that it took 2.5 years and 1,600 people to produce this installation?
This is a set of pictures from London Baby Swim, a school where they teach babies as young as 6 six weeks old to swim and to develop their motor skills. Of course, the parents take part in this process :)
International Wine Challenge is a prestigious wine competition in London. I wouldn’t mind to have such a job: spending the whole day walking and tasting, at your leisure, wines. Easy job, and I will never spit out wine like these judges do :)
