The TWA built this terminal at JFK airport in 1962 but it has mostly remained untouched since then. Max Touhey is a photographer who recently visited the terminal to capture how it looks today.
This farm cat in County Offaly, Ireland saved these neglected baby ducklings and has been raising it ever since.
There are have been no people living in this village for a few years and thanks to the war, humid climate it is now overgrown with shrubbery and is surprisingly beautiful.

I'm warning you, this will probably make you cry! Also, there are some serious assholes out there.
These abandoned places were all once sets used in TV and movies but they have been forgotten in time.
This sweet dog was left on the streets of Miami at 15 months old as her owners didn’t want to deal with the fact that she had a skin condition called demodex. Thankfully she was rescued and is now happy and healthy.

The Ellinikon international airport was used prior to the new airport being built in 2001. It is not abandoned but doesn’t look as bad as you’d imagine.

The Miranda Castle or Chateau Miranda was built in 1866. It was deserted in 1991.

The Hotel del Salto was opened in 1924 near Tequendama Falls, Bogotá River, Colombia and closed down in the 1990’s. People speculate that the hotel was haunted and this is why no one wanted to stay here but another reason could be that the river was polluted.

Located in Waterbury, Conneticut, Holy Land USA is an 18 acre (7.3 ha) theme park that is inspired by the Christian Bible. Although the park has been closed to the public since 1984, the buildings and artefacts remain intact.

This poor Kitten was found abandoned in Virginia one month ago and was rescued by the man who spotted him. Fondly named “Cheeto” for his odd-looking appearance, he has since made a full recovery and is now happy and healthy.

Kenneccott Mines was a thriving mining camp when the richest known concentration of copper in the world was found there in 1900. The development of the ore began immediately, bringing high profits to the state. However, the high-grade copper deposits were exhausted by 1939 and the camp became deserted. Currently the site is open for tourists who come to see old mines and abandoned buildings.
