These astonishing buildings are the real masterpieces of architectural design and engineering.
There will be a new business center built on the place of this old 80-meter (262-feet) high office building that was demolished in Kunming, Yunnan Province of China, last weekend. Find the pictures of the explosion inside this post.
These photos capture incredible moments of a 17-storey concrete building being blown to pieces in Scotland. Glencairn Tower block that opened in 1964 needed about 55kg of explosives to be reduced to 12,000 tons of rubble. Inside this post, you can watch spectacular video of the building crashing to the ground.

The largest mud building in the world is the great mosque in Djenne. It is made from animal dung and mud. The mud bricks form the organic shapes. Frequently, there will be pottery, calabash, or ostrich eggs on top of it to prevent its destruction from the rain. The timbers that protrude from the mosque provide the scaffolding that is permanent.
One Chinese developer wanted to build a factory on the land occupied by one apartment building.
They could find a "peaceful arrangement” with all of the residents of the building except for one family who didn’t want to go. The developer tried everything to evict them but in vain. Then the cruel harsh measures were taken to make this family give up eventually…
You just shouldn't be anywhere close to the demolition area, in a 3 mile radius...
This mysterious building was known to be located somewhere in Ohio…
This pixel art is made of post-its on the windows of one of buildings situated in Toulouse, France.
As Sa Sainteté Gerard XV, who sent us these pictures and to whom we thank a lot, wrote it all started with one window and then the people from other offices followed the idea which gave this post-it pixel art.
Apparently, it is a sign of the economic times. The photos in this post are of an abandoned building in New York and car factory in Russia.
This is the Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health (LRCBH) that opened last year on July 13 in Las Vegas.
Among its founders are Arnold Schwarzenegger, Kevin Spacey and John Cusack. The Center is about 65,000 sq ft and its cost is $70 million.
I just love the design of the building!
Germans seem to have found a fantastic and realistic way that turns a dull apartment building into an interesting one. Aren’t these wall paintings genius?
This is an uninhabited Sun Microsystems building. Look how many consumer goods are hidden inside, and they don’t belong to anybody :)
Burj Khalifa, formerly known as Burj Dubai, is a skyscraper in Dubai, UAE, and the tallest man-made structure ever built, at 828 m (2,717 ft).
I’m sure all of you have seen some pics during the past years as the construction began on September 2004, but the famous tallest building in the world officially opened on 4 January 2010, and so, there’re new things to see..
We will see a bit of everything in this post, from the building itself to the opening ceremony that occurred recently. We’ll also take a look on photos of the construction, photos taken from different heights of the building, photos of the fountains and we won’t miss the world record of base jumping that has been established few days ago.
And don’t forget to watch the videos at the end of the post..

This interesting and rather unusual residential complex was built in China.
The building consists of a set of blocks which are shifted by 2 meters horizontally. It was designed to gain additional space that was used for the construction of terraces.
As for me, it looks something like a LEGO building, only in real life.
Fascinated by the game Doom3, a gamer decided to make a modding of his computer in an industrial style.
It may seem strange, but the basic working material was polyethylene foam. The result exceeded all expectations, hats off to the author!
Hit the jump to see the very process of creating.
Another masterpiece of David Thorne. This time he’s messing around with a manager of his building who tries to recall him that it is prohibited to have animals in the apartment. To see David’s brilliant replies, go inside the post.
It is, of course, funny to read this all, but I wouldn’t like to be a person to whom David Thorne replies It would make me kill myself
Here are another email of David Thorne:

What is it, the result of an earthquake?
No, this is another proof that staying behind a solid brick wall can be dangerous and risky.
Happily, in this case there were no casualties...
Two Russian traceurs in Saint Petersburg made an incredible jump from a nine-story building (35 feet high) to land on mattresses of the five-storey building roof (22 feet high). It looks very impressive and don’t worry, the two jumps were successful. And this was not some kind of training for a movie just two guys who are passionate about Parkour.
Hats off, guys!
It’s not every day that you can see this at such a close distance.
I would love to witness this myself.
I must admit I don’t get what the hell is going on with this demolition. Any guess?
