As these photos show, these clocks are made on vinyl disks. That’s right, from old 45’s and LPs to a clock. They have been cut into numerous shapes to suit the personality of their owners I suppose. So if you have some old vinyl lying around, why not put them to good use?

Burned houses and ruins make about 40 % of the city of Detroit. There are over 33,000 unused or abandoned buildings here right now. Dave Bing, the Mayor of Detroit, is planning to demolish about 10,000 homes in the next three years. He got the money from the Federal Budget for this purpose. Actually, the economical level of life in this American city is not very high. The unemployment rate here is 50 %, according to Mr. Bing, while this number is approximately 10 % across the USA.

If all goes according to plan, late today 12-year-old Matt Moniz will reach the summit of Mauna Kea, Hawaii’s highest point at 13,796 feet. While this is quite a feat in and of itself, when Matt reaches the top of that inactive volcano, he will have topped off another amazing feat: having climbed the 50 highest peaks in all 50 states, in fewer than 50 days."It's been an amazing experience," Matt told CBS News from his Boulder, Colo. home before his flight to Hawaii. "It’s a big risk, but we take it seriously and make sure all of our gear is right."

This nuclear bunker is named after Marshal Tito. It was built in the ‘70s in Yugoslavia. For many years, this place was a total secret to everybody but a few people. Only in 1992 this bunker was revealed to publicity after Bosnia separated from Yugoslavia and invaded it.
Tito bunker is about 70,000 square feet, there are over 100 bedrooms, offices and conference rooms here. The furniture is wooden and looks neat.
This place can serve its purpose even today, if restocked with supplies. It can allow up to 350 people live inside for 6 months without ever coming outside.

Little children can’t control their desires to ruin things at home. Some consequences are funny. Others are sad and painful. But they are simply kids. They have the right to have the last laugh, don’t they?

Police officers uncovered an underground factory of the local fine food, known as "Century eggs" It looks... Yummy!

A French ambassador came to South Korea in 1975 and witnessed a real miracle during his visit to Jindo Island. He wrote about it in a French newspaper, and since then the Moses Miracle became well-known all over the world.
Twice a year people who live on Jindo Island witness a real wonder. During a low tide Jindo is connected with Modo Island for approximately 1 hour. A land path 2.8 kilometers long and 40 meters wide appears as water goes away, and people celebrate a festival of the Moses Miracle. This natural phenomenon attracts tourists from different countries.

Princess Juliana International Airport is located on the island of St. Maarten shared by two nations: the French and the Dutch. This airport is famous all over the world because it is too close to the Maho Beach. People who go there always see airplanes that fly just above their heads when entering the airport.
This airport is unique. Its runway is very short, only about 2,130 meters. This is what forces incoming airplanes to low over the beach, and this is what attracts plane spotters from all over the world. They can easily shoot spectacular images of incoming airplanes and get adrenaline while an aircraft is landing under manual flight control, because the airport doesn’t have a system of automatic landing.

It is a very topical issue today when the summer heat came in force.
These pictures were taken in New York in 1953 and show children having fun with a fire hydrant and fighting with a heat wave back then. I guess, not much has changed since then, I would love to do this too. It feels good, plus it is fun.
