This little house on the rocks is a lodge and restaurant for Swiss hikers who enjoy the icy slopes of the Monte Rosa mountain in the Swiss Alps. It looks like a quiet place in the middle of nowhere. I like its unique design and interesting geometric form.
How long could you stay in this crazy house?
This rather unusual house looks very much like a water tower. In fact, it may have been one at one time. While it is very elegant on the inside, its round shape contrasts sharply with the square corners of some of the stairs and the kitchen. It is a very strange house indeed.
A Japanese architect was given 2 specific instructions for building this house:
- it had to contain a garage with enough place for 9 cars and the possibility of viewing one of them directly in the living room.
- a tall tree had to fit in the house.
That was not an easy job as architect Takuya Tsuchida only disposed of 2000 square feet, but he managed to satisfy his client!
I wish I could live in this wonderful house built on a mango tree. Only think about it: you can eat as many mangos as you wish, and if you don’t like this tropical fruit you can always make mango juice for your friends. Wouldn’t that be awesome?
Jets not only fly transporting passengers from one country to another. Airplanes are also used like hotels and even houses. It looks pretty exotic to stay in such a luxurious jet room, doesn’t it?
What makes the house in these photos so unusual is that it has moving walls in an attempt to make it as safe as possible. When the house is open to the garden toward the west and east sidewalls, an outer courtyard is created. A person can’t get in through the garden or go through the main entrance of the building. The owners must wait for a certain period of time after the opening to the security entrance. Therefore, when the house is closed, the security zone protects the building.
They get so kind and loving when they are hungry. But when they start playing, be cautious! They can leave such a mess that you would spend a whole week clearing it up!
These aren’t your everyday motorcycles. In fact, some people would argue that the contraptions in these photos aren’t motorcycles at all. Some look more like cars with two wheels and others are as big as a house. Whatever they are they are sure neat looking and I am sure a lot went into building them.
I don’t know to what point it is stable and solid but this is surely original.
This house was completely made from bottles with some glue mixture.
I’d like to see it in real.
Here’s how a burning house looks like when the fire is put out at -4,00°F.
Designers have thought a lot and then came up with the idea to build a completely transparent house. It looks really good, even great I’d say! Imagine having your coffee early in the morning and enjoying the nature around you. Mmm, little paradise :)
There’s one ‘but’ though, the designers didn’t really thought through the whole privacy thing, especially for the toilets ;)
This 50ft Christmas tree was bought by Greig Howe. And he towed it to his house thanks to his teeny tiny electric car. But his house isn’t big enough for such a big tree, so how did he manage to squeeze it inside the house.
Well, it took some thinking through and a bit of imagination.
You’ll see everything inside the post.
A couple living in Massachusetts has turned the interior of their house into a steampunk one and I must say it’s stunning!
The work they made is impressive, and there are a lot of details!
Steampunk fans will love it!
This underground house situated in Vals, Switzerland, offers a stunning view of the mountains around.
The house is buried almost completely into one side of a hill but it has an oblique opening for light to better come into it. In fact, all of the rooms wrap around the interior courtyard.
It must be cool to live there and have this beautiful view each day… ))
Do you remember the smallest house in Canada? Well, this one is even thinner than the Canadian one, moreover, it is 5 times more expensive. Its cost is of £549,950 ($879,920).
The house is situated on Goldhawk Road and has the surface of 1,000sq ft on three floors.
Well, I wouldn’t pay as much money for this even if I had them, but it seems quite cozy :)
A 45-ton crane fell on a house in Santa Rosa, California, while it was trying to remove a 150-year-old tree. It almost split the house in two…
Luckily, nobody was injured in this accident.
It’s dangerous but the dog probably enjoys it…
Two students of the University of Nevada were sleeping when at 4 a.m., a car slammed into there house and landed on their bed. They were trapped underneath the car and couldn’t move. It took the rescuers 45 minutes to lift the car without injuring their lower body parts. Well, they didn’t get hurt badly.
Another interesting fact, the driver who caused the accident was drunk and apparently had the idea to get back at his ex girlfriend but confused her house and crashed into the “wrong” house with this couple.
What a crazy world!
From all the revenge stories that we posted, it seems that only girls manage to get through with their revenge ;)
That’s what your house could look like if you bought all the products gathered here. I’m sure it would make a sensation, but I’m not sure people would come twice to visit you…
Bleeding pillar candles
I am speechless. This is not a house, but a dream.
It is even worth buying only for the view.
This story takes place in a Russian town. The dwellers of this house sent a letter to the local newspaper in which they complain about the poor quality of the services. Apparently the workers took planks of the nearby benches to repair the floors and did not even finish the job.
They complain about other stuff like corpses of dogs and cats floating in the nearby river for weeks and also about a big icicle above the entrance…etc.
The truth is that the house would require more than repairing just the floor; I even have some difficulties to imagine people living in there…
It looks really good from a distance and when you come closer and realize from what it has been made…Wow!
Paul, the owner of this miracle on wheels, made it specially to go to the Burning Man festival in Nevada.
It’s true that it is more comfortable to live in your own little “house” than in a tent.
Everything in this house works on solar energy - the stove and water heating.
Unfortunately, there was no place to squeeze a toilet in there but there is a urinal on one of the walls outside.
A man decided to cut down a tree that stood near his house (not enough place to park his car, the view from the window is shadowed by the tree, the falling leaves always should be gotten rid of etc).
His neighbour volunteered to help him. And you will see after the break how it all ended.
So, people come home and there they see that their bags and shoes have returned from the walk ;)))
