Israeli writer, Edgar Keret, is the first tenant of the narrowest house in the world. Built by Polish architect, Yakubos, the house occupies a thin strip of 1.2 meters located between two buildings in Warsaw, Poland. The house has two levels and all the basic amenities but in these cramped quarters, lodgers need to be sure that they don’t suffer from claustrophobia!

Villa Vals is an incredible house built in an Alpine slope within a walking distance to thermal springs of Therme Vals, Switzerland. French windows and the patio with slightly inclined viewing angle offer a stunning view over a mountainous landscape with a narrow valley in front. This house constructed by Australian company MMP Architects was designed to fit seamlessly into a rainforest. Build on a slightly elevated platform, the house floats above the forest hill slope. The building consists of three large pavilions with large glass windows. It is made of high quality timber and partly of local stone, has solar power panels and is painted in subdued colors to dissolve into the natural background.

The design studio Paz Arquitectura from Guatemala created this spectacular house in a hillside forest in the Santa Rosalia area of Guatemala City. The house named Casa Corallo almost merges with the natural forest landscape. Tree trunks grow freely through the building, and the materials used for construction resemble those of the place around.
