The Ice Hotel is built each year near Quebec City in Canada. It takes about a month and a half to build it. 60 workers, 15,000 tons of snow, 500,000 tons of ice and $350,000 help to make it real.
Hotel de Glace has about 80 beds, all made of ice. Only the bathrooms are heated. They are located in a separate insulated structure. Tourists pay about $200 per night to stay here.

It was part of the British Imperial Trans Antarctic Expedition. The ship became trapped in the Antarctic ice. Mr. Hurley salvaged the photographic plates by diving into the icy water inside the sinking ship.
