Saratoga Springs-based artist Catana draws these amusing comics of her life with her bearded boyfriends and how they handle everyday situations.

The Central African Republic is among the ten poorest countries in the world despite its significant natural resources, such as uranium, crude oil, gold, diamonds, cobalt, lumber as well as significant quantities of arable land. Here is what the life like in the Republic:

Foula is one of Great Britain’s most remote permanently inhabited islands. The island has an area of 4.9 square miles (12.7 km2) and a population of 30 people. Islanders previously made a living from fishing. Today, most islanders are crofters with income from sheep farming and ornithological tourism.

Artist Gypsie Raleigh from Portland, Oregon is the author behind these “gleefully dark and whimsical” comics. When asked what inspired her, she said, “My drawings have been inspired by everything from the deaths of people close to me, anxiety, and my own broken heart–to seeing an old bird cage or having a bad work day.”
