These are some advertisements for old computers. There are two things that really stand out. The first is what they termed as portable in those days. The second is how expensive they were. Some things weren’t so good in the good old days.
These photos are from the good old days. They will remind you of a more innocent time with all of the fads, hair styles, and clothes of the day. Even the Hollywood stars had an innocence about them. That’s why they call the good old days.

A car left behind at a disused cement factory. On the island of Gotland, Sweden.
This is a collection of old guns that were used by different countries long time ago. Many of these weapons aren’t used any more, so they may be called retro examples of army guns.
Ashanti Eliott-Smith is like any other girls of her age, she goes to school, plays with her friends or her puppy, she likes horses and is a fan of Girls Aloud and JLS… But unfortunately, she has a rare incurable condition (Hutchinson–Gilford progeria syndrome) that makes her age faster than other people, 8 times faster to be more precise. This condition is very rare and only 52 persons in the world suffer progeria, with just one other kid in Britain.
I love this set of old photos with all these great stunts. Maybe stunts today seem more spectacular but they don’t have that thing that makes them believable and in most cases computer graphics are used.
Here, there’s no green screen or security equipment. They only have two options: whether they succeed or they fail. Real daredevils from back then.
Richard Schindler, an aerial acrobat notorious for his foolhardy stunts, practices one of his tricks.
Zara Hartshorn is a 13 year old girl but unfortunately she looks older than her friends’ parents as she suffers from a disease called lipodystrophy. It is a genetic disorder which makes the supporting fatty tissue under the skin to crumble while the skin continues to grow. Such a condition is extremely rare and is diagnosed in only 2,000 people around the entire world. This disease is related with insulin resistance, a high triglyceride level, diabetes and fatty liver. Every member of Zara’s family suffers from this disease but her symptoms are more serious than her older siblings. The appearance of a 50 year old woman is creating destructive effects on Zara’s social life.
These 3D stereoviews were made in the late 19th - early 20th century by known Japanese photographer T. Enami.
Normally, stereoviews consist of two almost identical photos and when viewed through a stereoscope, it gives the impression of three-dimensional space.
Now let's look at these 3D steroviews, but the good thing is, we won’t need any stereoscopes as they are already animated, but the effect is still the same ))
Many people throw out old, unnecessary things, but if you have a little imagination, they can still be useful.
Excellent and very creative selection. Recommended to view.
Very interesting idea and realisation. The idea is to recreate the old video games scenes from Lego.
Unfortunately, the author abandoned the project in 2006.
These old devices were used by our grandparents a long ago. It is a copper electric kettle of 1926. The last time the author tried it, it worked perfectly.
All of these bullets date back to the 19th century, or more precisely to the Crimean War. But they resemble some kind of “mini-bombs”.
I can imagine what damage could cause such “giants” to the human body.
For comparison, on the last one in the lower right corner you can see a bullet from a 5,45mm АК-74. As for me, the difference is obvious.
You might think your HMO plan is scary, but at least it doesn't use these vintage surgical instruments...hopefully.Amputation Knife (1700s)Knives used for amputations during the 18th century were typically curved, because surgeons tended to make a circular cut through the skin and muscle before the bone was cut with a saw. By the 1800s, straight knives became more popular because they made it easier to leave a flap of skin that could be used to cover the exposed stump.
Because it can serve as a home for your little pet.
What you see in these pictures is a cage that was certainly made by a "geek" for a tribble, the fictional animal from Star Trek.
As I said before, it may serve for a hamster too. You need just a little imagination and some handcraft ))
This time the masters of Photoshop made from celebrities grandpas and grandmas.
Great photomontage. Angelina Jolie
Hōshi is a ryokan (Japanese traditional inn) in the Awazu Onsen area of Komatsu, in Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan. Founded in 717, it is the world's oldest hotel still in operation according to the Guinness World Records and the world's oldest continuously operating company after the liquidation of Kongō Gumi in 2006.
It’s a presenter of morning news in Japan. While the whole country is waking up he’s already at work.
Look how he got older in a very short period of time.
