A recent Berlin art exhibit revealed these amazing photographs of members of the Ministry for State Security or Stasi. Their disguises were donned during actual courses about how to blend into public life.
If you thought being a police officer was both easy and hard, you would be correct on both accounts. As you can tell from this collection of police officer photos from around the world, they have to face danger and their own stupidity. Your tax dollars hard at work.
This is totally crazy! Jason Valdez held a hostage in Utah hotel and discussed his 16 hours standoff with the police on Facebook. His blog was regularly updated and his friends and family commented on the whole event.
This photo was taken by photographer Richard Lam. The Canucks defeated the Boston Bruins by a score of 4 to 0 which resulted in violence in the streets. The couple on the photos is the girlfriend named Alex Thomas from Canada and the guy Scott Jones from Australia.
In China, a cheap form of advertising like writing on the walls and pedestrian crossings is very popular. So plumbers, tailors and other craftsmen involved in handicraft leave their phone numbers and addresses this way. But this kind of advertising is banned, therefore the police have to deal with it. So all of these self-entrepreneurs have already experienced the hard way that it’s better not to mess with the Chinese police..

Well, that could be a lot of things, but I give you a hint: it’s cute ;)
This is Santisuk. He was found injured by policemen in southern Thailand and was adopted by them. Now he has the right to wear a policeman shirt and drive atop of the police vehicle. He became a real co-worker with all the privileges ;)
The Edwardian drunks in these photos are shamefaced, bewildered, and angry as they stare into the lens of the police camera while getting their mugshots taken. Their offences include being caught while in charge of a steam engine, carriage and a horse while being drunk. As it turns out they were in violation of the Licensing Act of 1902. The act gave police the power to apprehend those found drunk in any public place.
This guy has gone nuts and started to throw himself at passers-by with a machete, for no apparent reason. The police arrived shortly.

I wonder how the Bolivian police managed to detain the offender, a suspect in the murder of a taxi driver, basing on such a facial composite.
A woman, who lives near the place where the body had been found, drew a portrait of the alleged assassin for the police.

Recently, there have been mass arrests of members of different gangs in China, about 200 people were arrested.
To consolidate the success, the police decided to hold a demonstration.
The event turned out to be very large and impressive. Now Chinese thugs will think twice before committing a crime ;)
Rio de Janeiro is a beautiful city which must be very interesting to visit but nothing is perfect and behind the beautiful beaches, there are a lot of things that happen in the slums…
The battle which began on Saturday between hundreds of drug traffickers from different rival gangs put the chaos in Rio and turned the city into a warzone. They shot down a police helicopter. 17 people died that weekend.
Talk about a good advertisement two weeks only after Rio was awarded the 2016 Olympics…
It raised questions over the city's ability to safely host the Games in 2016.
