Looks like that rope was tied around it for a long time, as it was covered in small crustaceans and plankton. It must have been very painful, to force such a giant beast to approach divers in search of help.
Australian fisherman, Arnold Pointer, rescued a female shark two years ago and since then the shark has been following him everywhere he goes. Although the shark means him no harm, he is still one brave man!
