no, i don't think it happens very often. reason being is that the typical iceberg is not shaped like the floating bit we see. it actually has a huge non-visible base which tends to anchor it firmly in position.

yay for the nerdy guy that knows it all, maybe global warming has something to do with it, like it melts it more that its supposed to, and it flips over!JAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Shortly after breaking off the main glacier, icebergs may capsize a lot before they get stable. Pieces can break off, tipping the whole thing over, causing even more break offs.
