My son interviews people for a local news channel & he says only the "unusual" people will do the interviews. Everyone wants to talk until the camera is pointed at them and then they freeze up and only give "yes" or "no" replies.

It's simply amazing how stupid and degrading people will act when a camera is pointed at them.
Cases in point: spring break videos and Jerry Springer/Maury Povich type TV shows.
