The Insight Astronomy Photographer of the Year competition, now in its 10th year, displays an epic distillation of "the most beautiful and spectacular images of space and the cosmos," according to the Royal Observatory Greenwich, which hosts the contest. For this year's event, judges reviewed more than 4,200 entries from 91 countries before settling on 11 winning images.

It is a yearly contest among those whose minds can create something more than what had existed before. These are the winners of season 2016/2017 and their inventions are stunning.

The Society for Science and the Public holds an annual competition called the Broadcom Math, Applied Science, Technology and Engineering Rising Stars (MASTERS). The contestants are between the ages of 11 and 14 and two are chosen for the grand prizes of $25,000 and $10,000.

The winners of this year’s National Geographic Magazine Photo Competition has been announced and the photos, as always, are stunning. This year $10 000 was awarded to Brian Yen for winning the Grand Prize and a trip to the National Geographic headquarters where he will participate in its annual photography seminar. The categories are People, Nature and Places and the captions are written by the photographers themselves.

The competition was held in Portland this year and was an event exclusively for men who took their “hair growing” abilities to the extreme with wacky styles and funky interpretations of beards and moustaches.

This band's name is 'The Company' and they got the 2nd place at the Vibe competition that was held in the Segerstrom Hall, Costa Mesa, California.
