British eco-pioneer Rishi Sowa began constructing his first Spiral Island in 1998. He used around 250,000 plastic bottles to build a 66x54ft (20x16m) island which was located in a lagoon near Puerto Aventuras, on the Caribbean coast of Mexico.Unfortunately, it was completely destroyed by Hurricane Emily in 2005, but not discouraged, he decided to build a new one: Spiral Island II!

These maps are an interesting project that was developed by Eric Fischer. The maps show the population of various American cities by race and ethnicity, which are color-coded. Here’s what the colors stand for: Orange represent Hispanic population, Red is White, Blue is Black, green – Asian, Grey is other and each dot represents 25 people.. Really interesting and informative.

Los Angeles

This is Nara Dreamland, an abandoned theme park in Japan. It was built in 1961 and modeled after Disneyland in California. Sadly, it was closed four years ago, in 2006.

These photos show humans in various situations. They show humans reacting to nearly every emotion there is including sadness, happiness, curiosity, bewilderment, and confusion. The one thing they all have in common is they are all human emotions.
