It is a giant fiberglass shark embedded headfirst in the roof of a house. The shark is located at 2 New High Street, Headington, Oxford, England and first appeared on August 9 1986.
The sculpture was created by the artist John Buckley and was erected on the 41st anniversary of the dropping of the atomic bomb on Nagasaki.
The sense of the sculpture is that in the modern world, no one can feel themselves safe at home as in a fortress.
