Nicole Graham was on afternoon ride along the coast in Australia, when her 18 year old horse Astro suddenly sunk into mud.

Dead Horse Bay was once known as Barren Island. It is located on a beach near New York City. Today the beach is full of large amounts of undesirable things such as pieces of metal and plastic, broken telephones, worn out shoes, discarded toys and bottles, pieces of coal and other  garbage that are continually showing up on the beach and in the ocean. At one time the bones of dead horses that had outlived their usefulness were dumped in the bay much like a cemetery. Today the beach reminds everyone who sees it as doomsday.

When you are taking a picture, make sure that a horse won’t make a funny face in the background and won’t drop on your photo unexpectedly. Don’t laugh! Such photobombs often happen when you are around horses : )
