Few facts about gold: a total of 161,000 tonnes of gold have been mined in human history, as of 2009 (with half of that extracted in just the past 50 year).
India is the world’s largest consumer and importer of gold as Indians buy about 25% of the world’s gold, purchasing approximately 800 tonnes of gold every year and importing around 400 tonnes of gold.
The most famous precious metal has never been so expensive than today but it won’t prevent people to buy it..
Now let’s see diverse pictures about gold, from mining to buying, enjoying, discovering and selling gold…

Those photos depict how black caviar is made. The photos have been taken in one of the few farms in Israel.
It’s interesting to see.

Luke Kay, 42, has sold for £1 million of Hollywood productions stuff. For the story, his huge collection was the cause of conflict with his wife Sharon, who banned it from the house, in Swindon, Wiltshire. They split 3 years ago after 21 years of marriage.
Actually, his collection was so big that he stored it in his house, in another house and two storage units. But he decided to sell his collection because it was too much to keep.

He possessed stuff that had really been used in famous productions such as Star Wars (outfits worn by Luke Skywalker, other suits and his original light sabre, full size replica of Jabba the Hut, of R2D2, of Yoda and outfits worn by Han Solo and Anakin Skywalker), Battlestar Gallactica (original helmet), Knight Rider (one of the original ‘Kit’ cars), Predator (original mask), Power Ranger (mask).

Cricket is not a popular sport in the USA and in fact, in many other countries too. But in countries such as England, Australia, South Africa, India and New Zealand, it is very popular.
I don’t really know this sport and I’ve got some difficulties to understand its success in the countries mentioned above so I won’t try to explain you the basics or talk about cricket in general, this is not the purpose of this post.
Instead, I will show you how cricket bats are made from willow wood, from the tree to the final result – cricket bat.

I want to show you how Indonesian miners who extract sulfur are working at the Ijen volcano in East Java.
They have to work in inhuman conditions and it is extremely dangerous to health. But what else can they do, there’s no other work in the region...

This is from World War II in the European Theater when the Germans invaded Russia and the great Battle of Stalingrad on August 21, 1942 took place with combined casualties estimated above 1.5 million.
Great work with minor details.
It took its author 6 years to finish the project.
