Portraits Made of Screws (13 pics)

California-based artist Andrew Myers found an original way to make his portraits more vivid. He paints them on screws driven in a wooden panel at different depths in order to make the picture three-dimensional. The result looks rather innovative.

A crocodile named Robo Croc had a reconstruction surgery last Tuesday at the Metrozoo in Miami. A car crushed his head the last year. Unable to move its jaw, the poor animal had not eaten for three months. The veterinarians decided to operate him and put two metal rods between his eyes, extending down to the bridge of his nose, and another on each side. 41 screws were drilled in his head to keep the skull and snout together. Let’s hope that he would be able to open his jaw to eat and therefore to survive.
