Everyone can have their opinion of Jackson: good or not, but nobody can deny that he was a great man with great talent and now there will hardly be someone who can achieve what Michael Jackson did in terms of music, dance and vocals. The King of Pop speaks for itself.
Here, I try to trace the story through photos of Michael Jackson. The first set are very old photos when he was a kid and a teenager.
On these photos, you will see how the face of Michael Jackson has changed with years. He attributed his lighter skin colour to a disease called vitiligo, which causes de-pigmentation. He denied rumours that he was deliberately bleaching his skin.
Jackson's skin was a medium-brown color for the entire duration of his youth, but starting in the early 1980s, his skin gradually grew paler. This change gained widespread media coverage, including rumors that Jackson was bleaching his skin. In the mid-1980s, Jackson was diagnosed with vitiligo and lupus; the latter was in remission in Jackson's case, and both illnesses made him sensitive to sunlight. The treatments he used for his condition further lightened his skin tone, and, with the application of pancake makeup to even out blotches, he could appear very pale.
Thriller changed the course of pop music and catapulted him into global superstardom. It sold more than 50 million copies and spent 37 weeks at number one in the American charts, where it remained for more than two years. All but two of its nine tracks were hit singles.
And here’s 3 of his most popular songs. Jackson had already smashed MTV's extraordinary musical apartheid: Billie Jean (a track from the album) was the first song by a black artist to be played by the channel. Billie Jean
It is interesting to see how such giant of music as Elvis Presley, Freddie Mercury and Michael Jackson have died in their 40’s and 50’s. You can almost draw parallels with their lives. R.I.P. Mickael Jackson. You will remain forever in our memories.
