The Reality of 2016 Olympic City Rio de Janeiro (12 pics + 1 video)

This is the reality of suburbs and slums of the city which will host Olympics in 2016.
As you can see from these pictures, the dark side of this beautiful city is shown. The police have long ago lost any control in these areas. Now it is drug dealers and criminal groups who are reigning there. Apart from adult drug addicts, you can also see children wandering the streets looking for crack or other drugs.
Very sad reality…

Oh please, i'm from Brazil and the only thing Americans show are the dark areas of Rio/Sao Paulo. Every city has gangs and violence, just don't be an idiot and you'll be fine.

oh, dont come with this, rio is among the cities wich have the worst districts in the world. i agree not all of rio is dangerous, but rio could be a dangerous place, if people didnt know about these, they have to know that they could get into dangerous places, if they wander off without proper guidance

I have seen cops shooting at bad guys in the banking district during morning rush hours

the rio beaches and hotels around the beaches have a high crime rate

maybe the olympics will change this stuff
