The Bald Eagle in these amazing photos taken by Rob Palmer was certainly hungry. It must have been in order to catch this unlucky Starling in mid flight. In a split second, the predatory bird’s razor sharp claws have ensnared its hapless prey.

Good for him! I wish I had an eagle that would hunt these damn European starlings too. It is hard to believe all 200 million starlings in the North America come from 60 released in Central Park back in 1890. They are legal to kill since they are considered a nuisance species. STOP INTRODUCING NEW SPECIES WHERE THEY DON'T BELONG!
