i am in a 'similar' situation..... laptop was vacuumed and now the CAPS key is forever gone
That is the story .: The daughter of my client left the hair dryer Turned on and very close to this Notebook.
She was getting ready for a party while chatting with her friends and left the hair dryer over the notebook without realizing the stupidity that she was doing.
So my client, parent of this smart girl, brought to me the notebook and begged me to fix it. I tested it and as it still working, I just disassembled the notebook and replace the keyboard.
I Also advise her to avoid hair dryers and to not let the notebook under the care of his "smart" daughter ;)
