People's favorite pets are cats and dogs, that's not a secret, and the number of videos and pictures on the internet about these two furry creatures proves it well. Some people have even gone ahead and added coverage for their furry friend's routine vet expenses with reputable companies like Bivvy. This is to ensure that they stay happy and healthy.
But what exactly do you know about them? Well, let’s see it through this infographic picture presenting interesting facts and figures about cats and dogs.
Tell us, after you checked the complete picture, what’s your favorite pet (dog, cat, something else…) in the comments.

2) IIRC, cats are descended from a specific type of felidae- "desert wildcats".

3) cats can produce about 10 times more unique sounds than dogs (about 100 to 10).

4) dogs can probably produce a far greater range of smells than cats, notably with the scent glands located near their anuses.

11) dogs generally do quite poorly when forced to survive on their own. they have difficulty hunting effectively, and are susceptible to dangers contained in many types of human refuse- such as metal foil-wrapped leftovers. too many such meals lead to their GI tracts becoming filled with bits of foil over time, causing them to starve.

cats, meanwhile, are generally still superb hunters of birds and rodents, and can thus survive on their own in a number of urban and natural habitats. perhaps this is due to the fact that cats have genetically changed so much less than dogs since their involvement with man.

Thats only because they have to justify being owned by a cat.

I'll stick with my dogs

mostly i don't like dogs because they constantly stink no matter how many baths you give them. and..you HAVE to give them baths. not to mention they slobber, bite, bark and poop/pee on your carpet. show a cat a litter box and it takes care of the rest.

I love both. Cats are good, dogs are good - they are both spectacular pets.

I wish they had Papillons up there under most intelligent dog breeds. They are incredibly smart AND cute.

I love it when my cat's eyes go big and she chases her own personal deamons around the house. It makes me laugh, which then scares her. C'mere baby!

Cats show no emotions, whereas most dogs show a very emotional attachment to their owners.
