After a series of suicides at the Foxconn factory in China, the company started to deal with it seriously. Take a look how they are doing it exactly after the jump.

They have installed big nets around the factory.

At least they are trying to do something. Perhaps if they treated their workers better to begin with, they wouldn't need the nets.

A better method would be to install surveillance cameras around the perimeter of the building and when a jumping suicide is recorded, show the footage to the other workers so they can see the body bouncing and the immense pain that method of suicide involves.
Then beat the shit out of Mai Linn and her friends and tell her to get their skinny asses back to work making shit for Wal-Mart.

there were 12 reported suicides in Foxconn and not in just one factory. After the 10-th one, they increased the salaries with 25% and the average was around 2000 RMB - 200 euros, 260$. After the 12-th one, they decided to make another increase - 50%
The biggest problem is the 12-14 hours shifts.
Most of the workers are in their 20s, leaving in dormitories and working in range of 100 m. The whole factory is more like a prison camp.
Of course you can go even deeper to find the cause of the suicides and 2 of them is "copycats" and the money paid to the family of the victim.
Blame it on management.
